Paul Chapman is senior partner in the Life Sciences group at Kilburn & Strode, a London (UK) based firm of Patent Attorneys. He is a UK Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney and has been practicing for over 20 years in the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical chemistry areas. Paul also spent some time working in house for a major UK pharmaceutical company. Today his practice concentrates on patent drafting and prosecution in the pharmaceutical, biotechnological, drug delivery, diagnostic and medical device fields. In recent years more and more of his time has been spent working with clients on Oppositions and Appeals before the European Patent Office.

Dr. Elizabeth Crooks - Kilburn & Strode, a London (UK)
Elizabeth Cook�s practice concentrates on the drafting and prosecution of UK, European and International patent applications in the areas of chemistry (including organic, inorganic and pharmaceutical chemistry) and biochemistry. Her clients include large multinational companies and universities. She works closely with these clients in identifying inventions and proposing patent protection strategies. Elizabeth also advises clients on third party patents, particularly in relation to European oppositions. She obtained a BSc double honours degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry in and a PhD in Bio-Organic Chemistry from the University of Southampton.
